WORKFLOW GUIDE

MV2: create in conversation.

Workspace’s planning and media tools, with Agentic’s chat layout. The original Agentic keeps working until it is retired.

Create in chat

Open MV2 and start a campaign. Describe the result, audience and constraints. Type @ to tag characters, items and exact media references. Uploaded references use explicit asset tags. Adding a reference does not start a render.

Campaigns are on the left; media is on the right. Both panels can be hidden or opened as drawers on small screens. Click a result to open the media player and download it. Explicit video playback starts at zero, independently of its hover preview.

Existing Workspace links redirect to MV2 with the same conversation and media. There is no Work tab, Cinematic panel or embedded Layers editor. Layers remains separate. The original Agentic keeps working at its old address until it is retired, so existing campaigns can be finished there; new campaigns belong in MV2.

Approvals and cost

In Assisted mode, review the inputs and estimate before approving generation. Auto uses your recorded budget for supported paid actions; switching modes does not approve existing pending proposals or cancel an admitted render. Estimates are not final-charge caps.

Director plans film generation units internally, then prepares their costs in chat. In Assisted they become priced approval cards and preparing costs does not purchase footage; in Auto the parts within the budget render without a card, and anything past the budget is not run. Existing draft units can also be quoted with Review render costs.

Free native video edits and saving an existing candidate as a reference add no generation charge. A provider result whose usage is unresolved can remain charge-pending; a retry must not silently purchase a replacement.

Review a film

Director keeps scene intent, continuity, generation grouping and exact edit timing behind the conversation. It inspects footage and proposes a cut using existing clips. Watch the proposed cut, then choose Accept this cut or Request changes. Partial or stale cuts cannot be accepted as the full film.

After accepting, choose Export accepted cut. Original footage stays saved. Export progress and the final watch/download action appear in chat. Accepting a cut is not approval for new paid renders.

Prepared MP3/WAV soundtracks can be attached in chat for supported local edits. Tell Director which clips, trims and track to use. A free soundtrack replacement saves a separate result, trims a long track or pads a short track with silence, and does not generate music. Uploaded audio has an explicit Play control, not autoplay.

Chat’s direct local-edit tool accepts up to 8 clips, while the API/MCP edit accepts up to 12; both are bounded to 120 seconds of input/output and a 1920-pixel output long side. The cinematic final-cut path separately supports up to 60 kept ranges and 120 seconds. Reframing crops or letterboxes; it does not reconstruct missing imagery.

Inspect a reference video

Paste a public HTTPS video link and ask Director to analyse its scenes, pacing, camera or look. Supported Instagram/Facebook pages and direct MP4 links are attempted without logging in. Not every public page allows downloading. If the link cannot be retrieved, use Attach video in the same chat; your brief and tagged references stay in place.

Upload one MP4, MOV or WebM per message, up to 2 minutes and 256 MB. Inspection samples 5 frames per second in timestamped batches. It is visual analysis, not audio transcription or frame-exact cut detection. Analysis uses your chat model; it does not purchase generated video. Creating a new film remains a separate request with normal render approvals.

Save an exact candidate for reuse

Open a generated still in the media popup and choose Save as reference. Confirm the exact image, name, provenance and notes. This creates a reference-backed character or item without purchasing a new sheet. It does not itself train a real person or enable video identity casting.

Reference History retains immutable versions. Already admitted jobs keep the approved reference version even after later changes. Ordinary gallery deletion does not erase media retained by a published reference or design history. Private media links renew through authorized reads without changing the underlying asset identity.

Availability

Splitting a flat picture into layers is a paid Layers job reviewed and approved in the browser: the most it can cost is shown first, and the result is a base picture plus movable picture pieces. Words in the picture stay part of those pieces, not editable text. There is no MCP route to buy a split.

Publication uses the existing app GraphQL and scoped MCP operations, not new REST training endpoints. Reference-only characters expose separate image and video readiness. Real-person photo training retains its existing consent and evidence requirements.
